You call it a scary movie.

I have what seems to be a unique perspective on slasher/suspense movies. I don't relate to being afraid of people very easily. I know a lot of people who find movies like the srangers and such very scary. I haven't seen it so maybe there's something I don't know about the story that would in fact make it scary ( Read more... )

I have the same problem....to the point where my wife gets irritated with me.
I'll literally scream at the characters to do something.......anything but run! Fight back with ANYTHING. Poke their eyes, kick them in the face, nuts, whatever. Stick your hands in their mouth just don't be a weakling or a chicken shit.

Horror movies don't scare me. I just find certain tyes of gore to be unsettling. I hate to see people get their wrists or neck slashed. I am not scared of it, I just literally imagine what if can feel like and it makes me feel disgusted.

I always fight as if I will never go home. Eye Gouge, Groin Grab, Shin Splinter. fight to win. Honorable fighting is for competitions and in pre-determined fighting, (Meet me in the parking lot outside, aka high school.)

So many fucking juries are like "You didn't give him a fair change" Damn fucking straight. He was armed with a Tec-9 (Read Machine pistol) and just emptied a magazine into a car. SO NO! I DIDN'T GIVE HIM A CHANCE TO RELOAD! (True story, R.P.B.PD).

I know you and many of my friends would SPIT on my grave if I just gave up, or gave a fair fight. Honor won't let me love my Friends. Honor won't let me kiss my Danielle just one more time.

I will win. I will overcome.

I will go home again.

You and I talked about this. If I remember, we agreed that we are horror fans who were specifically MONSTER fans, not the type to watch Hostel. The slasher we tend to watch are usually supernatural or borderline- types like Jason, Freddy, Mike Myers, or entertaining theatrical madman like Leslie Vernon or Edward Lioncourt from Theater of Blood.

Definitely. I love supernatural horror. I do find that I even watch that with an eye towards winning the fight, but you can't punch a werewolf to death(Nargs are optional). Villains like Vernon and Lioncourt are about the diabolical plan. You aren't out trying to out fight them you're trying to out think them. That is particular favorite pastime of mine.

I don't think its only u guys that think of that sort of thing when watching a movie or in real life. I hate those slasher type of movies too b/c the ppl are slow on the up take when battling the "bad guys". When watching the trailers for "the strangers" Mr. G and I were discussing several ways to beat them or escape before they even got to the house! And at school, when i used to be in boca getting out of class at like @ 10pm i always thought to what i would do if someone attacked me. Like swing my heavy-ass bookbag square into the person, etc. I would definitely not give up lightly. I do that as well even when am with Mr. G, like when he is filling up the car. I always thing like what if a person attacked him what would i do to help him. I once saw a video of a couple who got pizza and were coming out of the resturant when a person(guy) attacked the dude, who by the way was carrying the pizza, and like beat him with a rock or something while the Girl walked slowly alway from the guy she was with. LIke HELL I would, if someone came at ( ... )
