Apparently, the Russian company that owns LJ laid of a sizable portion of their US staff, blaming the economic situation. This rather tepid news has turned into a fever of speculation that LJ might be dying ( Read more... )

Only insofar as XKCD occasionally glues captions to cats. He never gave a reason, but obviously, it's due to the economic downturn.
