How would archiving on LJ work, out of curiosity? I can't think of a way (or at least one that everyone could help with) that would end up being any more efficient than surfing through pages of the meme itself.
Also to keep in mind... if you'd be using LJ tags like that early attempt at archiving the Phoenix Wright meme (Here: http://pwkinkarchive.livejournal.com/) LJ has a limit to the number of tags that a comm/user can have. I don't know what the number is, but it'd probably be a good idea to find out and make sure it's enough.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know if Tumblr has been successfully used as a Delicious alternative? Seems to me like its tagging and linkpost features plus multi-user support would be handy, but I have no idea what limitations it might have.
the only kink meme archives i've seen are on lj, a hetalia one being the best one. pity it couldnt be moved to a forum setting ^.^ but then alas, although you could write in as a guest, im not sure if anon.
The only one I'm familiar with that wasn't on LJ or Delicious was the one that one Phoenix Wright Kink Meme anon coded herself and hosted on her own webspace (which sorta made her not anon, but did anyone care? Heck no!).
...I'm kind of tempted all of a sudden to try to do the same for this meme. It's not nearly as horrific a prospect as the PW meme would have been. Which is good, because I'm probably not anywhere near as good a programmer as the anon who coded the one for the PW meme.
I've helped designed many forums for friends, and my brother is good at coding, I could always ask him if he knows any good archive services like Delicious or LJ
