She was arching against him, a firm weight in his arms but light even so. Everyone was breakable, maybe, but that was easy to forget. He gathered her and pressed her against the soft bank, with the water moving around them. It was easy to get lost in kissing her, like being drunk, like being in Gwen Ystrat on Maidaladan. They kissed and his fingers finally slid up between her skin and wet fabric, cupping the curve of her breast.

His touch on her skin was electric, sending a shock through her. Teyla gasped, her mouth hard on his, her fingers dragging hard against the skin of his back. The water was cool and the air warm, her own blood rushing with a heat she had forgotten. She had forgotten what it was like to lose herself in a moment such as this.

He felt the scrape of her fingernails, but Dave couldn't lift his mouth from the soft curve of her jaw, his breath low and wanting against her skin. He dragged his mouth down the lines of her throat, over collar bones, not slow but deliberate. It was hard to hear anything above the rush of his own blood and the water around them.

His movements seemed too slow to her, each touch of his lips to her skin making her tense. It was ironic that she would not be the patient one, an irony lost on her in this moment. Teyla arched into his touch, her fingers tight in the small of his back for balance.
