Why we fight was good, the power of nightmares was better, since it was from more of an ideological standpoint instead of an economic one. Economic reasoning for US foregin policy is much more harder to pin down then its ideological and philosophical orgins.
The culture shift from having no permenant army to having a standing army was an interesting part of the film.
When it really comes down to it, US military spending is the equivilent of Canadian health care spending it seems. In both jurisdictions it is political suicide to appear weak on these subjects.
