Tomorrow is going to be a difficult day for me. I will be attending the funeral of a woman for whom I had so much respect. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer just over a year ago and on Sunday her fight ended. For her, it is a blessing that she is now in heaven with a new body. Last night for the first time in corporate history starbucks closed its doors for three hours for the purpose of re-training its employees. At my store we decided that this might be one of the modern signs that the world is about to end.... Or at least that hell froze over for those couple of hours. I have an interview at 11:15 tomorrow morning.  I'm really excited.

I'm stressed out.   Starting on the 24th I was all set to transfer to another store in our district that was set to open up this Friday.   The problem:  The District and Regional managers are unhappy because there is an old gas station awning that is still in the parking lot that they out before we open.  This means that the opening of my new store ( Read more... )
