I'm talkin' to David Tennant. If I was going to have a conversation with him right now, I'd say, "Dang it, David!" (If I said, "Dang it, Tennant," it would sound like I'm saying his name. ) "I'm so freakin' sorry I screwed up with drawing you!" D:
So, I based the portrait I drew off
, like I posted a while ago, and it ended up hardly looking like that photo. :I Okay. So, maybe I'm being too harsh on myself. The day I showed the picture to my friends, they were all crowded around my locker talking to me like they do every day since none of them share the same lunch time as me and we just hardly see each other. One of them showed me a photo of the person they were drawing and the version they drew, I told them what was off, and then everyone wanted me to show them what I'd drawn.
I said, "Well, I drew David Tennant..." My two friends that like Doctor Who looked all confused, but then I said, "He's the Doctor."
To that, one of my friends' eyes widened when she realized she knew the guy, and she was all, "Cool! Let me see!" The other had started a conversation with another friend about another portrait, I think, so she wasn't paying attention when I took the picture out. When I showed it to my friend that was still paying attention, she suddenly shriek-gasped, clasped her hands over her mouth, and yelled, "That's so creepy!" I quickly shoved it back in my folder as my other friend looked at me.
She asked if she could see it, and it took a moment to convince me to take the picture out again. xD Apparently, another friend had come up while I was busy being embarrassed and feeling stupid, so when I took the picture out again, I heard, "It's Doctor Who!" The girl that said that only had seen two or three DW episodes, and they were the "Girl in the Fireplace" ones, I found out later, so I couldn't give her even joking grief by just saying, "It's just the Doctor." :P Having her recognize the picture that I drew without me or anybody else even telling her who it was definitely sent me grinning to my next class. XD
But... Now that I look at the picture - maybe the scanner just made the shading not as good-looking as I tried to make it - it doesn't look as good. Or, maybe the smudging just faded a bit. Who knows.
I'm just gonna add this, though: It was fun drawing his hair. xD And, his jacket was the hardest part, surprisingly. Oh, and before anyone goes complimenting me, I want to say it took a lot of erasing and time. I'm not that good of an artist.
Alright. So, off that subject. I finished the book Do Hard Things. It turned out being a whole lot more religious than I thought it would be, but that's okay, since I agreed with what it said most of the time and it really had a whole lot of really good content. I think I bookmarked about fifteen spots or something that I want to reread. I'll post a bit more about it this weekend since I still need to study for finals. Oh, and I only finished that book today since I kept getting distracted by a heck a lot of things, and I even checked out a book called Empty from my school's library instead of reading the former.
Empty is about all the oil in the world being used up. Lots of cliche moments and lines, (and too much unnecessary and random romance) but, overall, I think it was a pretty good book. Hm... Maybe I can start reviewing books here! :D That would be fun. :)
And, I just realized something: This is my third day that I've set my 'mood' as 'busy'! I need to start actually doing stuff instead of talking about it.
Oh! And, happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day, everyone!
