Covering logos

I recently got a t shirt issued to me by my company, with a corporate logo on it, only to be informed that t shirts are not in our dress code so I can't wear it to work, so...what's the point?

So I decided to put the shirt to better use. I took the shirt (originally a men's L), cut it smaller so it fit me better, turned the crew neck into a V neck, ( Read more... )

:D thanks!

Thanks! I figured it was perfectly good fabric, it's a nice and heavy bit of cotton, and I'd never resized a tshirt before so I figured, why not try on this one?

Thanks!

I've never been particularly good at following patterns (although general how-to tutorials are great)--I'm more of a "wing it" kinda girl. You just need an idea, some fabric, and a lot of stubborn and I think you can make pretty much anything ;)

I'm still working on getting beyond sewing things by hand, which I'm not particularly gifted at, but after a try or two I can usually patch a hole. xD

However, I get ideas or need to fix "broken" clothes like this regularly too.

I hear ya, I sewed by hand for years (I made a full length dress by hand, not even kidding) and there are certain things I think just work better by hand--you can control it better, you can do lil bitty stitches so it's not visible from the outside, but MAN the machine speeds things up!
