Thanks. :) I'm thinking I'll make a trip down there and see him - I've been putting it off.

I loved that - really made me smile on a dreary Monday. Dumbass cows. Not like we don’t feed em ever damned day. Ah - so cows are like dogs, then? ;-)

LOL yeah, dumbass cows. They always looks so placid when you see them as you drive down the road, don't they? Never going anywhere fast? Hah... just show up in the pickup they associate with being fed, and you'd be surprised how fast they move. Gotta stay ahead of them, too. Otherwise, they circle the vehicle and you're stuck for a while.

My Girl Scout troop came out for a picnic and hayride one time. Can you imagine? ;) We told them to get down off the flatbed as soon as we got done, but some of them poked around until the cows caught up with us. Picture the cows surrounding the thing - eating the hay right off the side of the trailer - and a handful of girls from town standing in the middle of it crying and screaming their fool heads off. LOL

Thanks, Vicki. :) And yep, they should have had that sweet life. We're all looking forward to you giving it to them in Alaska. :)

That was hard! the drabble format, I mean. Reminded me of when my English professor would talk about the sonnet - and how people wrote them because it was a challenge.

100 words get used up pretty darned fast, I found out. ;) But it was probably a good thing, since this was Jack and Ennis. The original draft had too many words... both for a drabble AND for Jack and Ennis. So, the paring down made it fit them better, or so it seemed to me.

Thanks for your comments. :)
