4...SEPARATE???? where the hell did those things come from? I don't have any memory of dealing with those things before maybe 5 years ago

The brown marmorated stink bug, the one everyone sees, is an invasive species from Asia. We have some native varieties that are not explosive breeders. There are natives such as the Green Stink Bug, Harlequin Bug and several others. I rarely see many of them lately. Because they are natives they seek out natural places to overwinter.

You are the only person I know who can tell the different SPECIES of Stinkbug. Let alone bees and crickets. :)

is jealous. there were many sparrows and finches curious about the new feeder today. none brave enough to touch it though.
can't wait for the male house finches to come around, i LOVE their song.
