(no subject)
So, today was probably the most eventful day i've had in a WHILE...
Now, this is VERY EXCITING so EVERYONE should read this...
Today, for my sister's girl scout troop we went to Block Island. The only ones who ended up going were me, Tiffany (my younger sister), my mom, and the new assistent leader, Mary. So we went, I practically slept all the way on the ferry... oh, i forgot to mention that we brought our bikes and were going to bike around the whole island and all that jazz...
So, we started going, for not even a mile i'd say... it was ALL UPHILL so i was dying cause yesterday I rode my bike to mini golf and then to Hannah's house, so i was pretty tired. Anyway, we got to the top of the hill and were about to go down it and Tiff goes "it's all downhill and curvy now, so keep your hand on the brake" then i said "yeah, right!" haha.
I was riding down on the road, having a great time flying down on my bike. I passed my sister and my mom and then i started to get REALLY CLOSE to the edge of the road...
I saw myself slipping off the edge of the road onto the dirt next to the road which, i might add, was about a 3 or 4 inch difference. I hit my brake and closed my eyes. I flipped over the handle bars, hit my head on the ground, bouced back up and landed on my side. I rolled over onto the ground and someone called 911.
I had my first ride in an ambulence (pictures will be available soon)... I got the the "medical center" and got stitches in my head. I have TONS of road rash all over my body, on my elbow, shoulder, lower back, knee, etc., etc.
Thank God I was wearing a helmet
