I've always found 'aide' jobs generally to be utter SHIT jobs, consisting of work no one wants to do and consistently underpaid, with no benefits and often dangerous. So, no. I can't do the 8-10 hour shifts on my feet anymore either.

Shame about the fire dept. job, but I'm glad you've got something else that sounds like it will suit you. Fingers crossed it is a good one for you.

It's very weird you should say about the porny spam - earlier in the week Mr Sparrow started getting deluged with really nasty stuff - he was getting 80-90 emails coming in per hour for a couple of days. No idea where it came from, but there's obviously something going on out there. It's tapered off now he's taken evasive action, but it was really disturbing.

The weather is nuts, isn't it. We haven't had any real rain in over 3 months and last week we had a wildfire about 4 km north of us. Fortunately is now under control, but scary as all hell for a while to see smoke and flames from our front window.

Yeah, i'm boggled at the emails. They're slowing down for me now, too, but it was pretty insane for a while. And it's not like i was going to weird, dodgy sites - they were all legit job-hunting sites. WHO KNOWS!!

Oh, wow, that is scary, yes! We have some fires here, but usually nothing too big. Supposed to rain this week - probably because of the storms in the Gulf - so that will be a good thing.
