Oh, Max/Tess! I really liked it. Also: the of the video ending? Filled me with Liz hate. Max has just found out that the love of his life has betrayed him and is still trying to deal with it, and Liz is already moving in with the romantic hugs? Oh, Liz! You horrible, Katimanian nonbitch!
In other news, Max/Tess still makes me feel all shippy. Why did they have to ruin it all?
I'm convinced that Max would've improved had he been allowed to be in a relationship with Tess for a bit. My current OTP is very Max/Tess where the fearless, assholeish leader did become a very likable person once he abandoned his Liz to hook up with the bitchy, mindwarping blonde.
Part of the reason that I really liked Tess and Max was because Tess sort of reminded Max of the fact that he wasn't human, which he didn't like so much. I like ships where people have to face a part of themselves they would rather not by being with the other person. And, I think, that that was a large part of why Max didn't want to be with Tess even though, IMO, he probably loved her better than he did Liz.

I don't know why I loved Max/Tess so much, considering how little I loved Max. But there you have it. :-/
