Ok, so be prepared, since most of you are in the class making $50K to $150K plus, you will not understand/be offended at this post.

Here's the thing. I am really, really pissed off. I mean, I have nto been this pissed off, in a long time.
I thought the whole idea of this "tax Relief" was to help the little man? the ones who actually NEED it.

I hear you. Amen!

But here's why they aren't going to give you more money. Much needed money. They want you to spend it--frivolously! And the poor folks in this country probably won't do that. Instead, they'll be responsible and pay bills or loans or mortgages or something else like that. But the Rich. Oh the rich. They may spend a little on bills or whatnot, but mostly, they are free to use that money on retail and such. And that is why the rich get a lot of money and the poor get a mere $300.

I know.
*sigh* I also know this post is a purely emotional manifest of my feelings on the matter, but it just doesn't sound right.
Depending on how things are when it comes in, I'll either put it on bills, or we'll blow it, having only been out for dinner and a movie once in 2 years, lol.
Then I'll feel enormously guilty afterwards, and the fact I know I'll feel guiltymeans I'll put it on the house.
Thereby proving the point

Another friend was also griping about this, and provided this little nugget: http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/08/economic.stimulus/index.html

So, even if you do get the "refund", they want it back come tax time.

Sorry about that. misslynn usually has very reputable links and sources that explain her point. This particular story did not. But I found an article on MSN that does explain her point (that the rebate is due back): http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/Taxes/Advice/TheDetailsOnTaxRebates.aspx

That ought to explain things a little better.
