One night at dinner on the cruise, I mentioned I was planning to visit the Van Gogh museum. The older gentleman that I was talking to started rambling about why Van Gogh made him think of bacon. I nodded silently as he spoke for a good 20 to 30 seconds all the while wondering why on earth Van Gogh brought to mind the breakfast food, bacon. Thank

Your story about bacon made me laugh. I also have no sense of direction.

We've traveled a fair amount, but I'm getting to the point where the though of long flights really makes me hesitate. We're going on another river cruise in June, starting from Amsterdam.

I am jealous of the river cruise. I'd love to go back, but I am with you on the long flights. They aren't as easy to face or shrug off as they used to be. It gets harder as each year passes.
