Sometimes, the smallest things draw my attention. The details add most unusual beauty. These signs and markersand windows, some old, some new, were fun to spot. Your mileage may vary

These photos are great. I love the small details that add to the story of a place or person. I particularly like the weather vane and the ship.

I loved the variety. I wish I had gotten a good picture of the dragon weathervane I saw. Apparently the carvings like the ones of the animals were used to mark streets in the days of yore. It is fabulous that they have preserved them.

As in writing, it's the details that makes the difference. One of the great things about photos is how they can make you see things you (I) would otherwise miss.

I am a details kind of girl. I actually roamed the city looking for these things so that I could zoom in on them. While the guide was talking about the massive church, i was looking for drawings or carvings or signs. My problem with details in my writing is that I can get bogged down in them.
