Day 8: Equality defined

So i was thinking about my definition of equality. By "my definition" i mean the definition that I really live, not the one that's written in the dictionary. I think I have always defined equality as "exactly the same." Like, gender equality always meant "treat the woman the exact same that you would treat a man." Some downsides I see of acting how you believe and how you choose are that others won't follow your example or will make fun of what you're doing. This could then cause you to become frustrated or feel like what you're doing isn't correct or right. It could suck the joy out of how you act, maybe leading you to stop acting that way.

The merits however are much greater. It can make you feel empowered and joyful. You actions make you feel great. You may even notice that others are feeling better and acting happier. Possibly they are following your lead. Overall you notice that your positive attitude and actions are making others feel and act better, which in turn gives you a good feeling inside.
