question about a business name

Nov 29, 2008 18:52

I'm creating another business here in New York and letting Prestige go to Mari in Canada. I am tryign to think of a name. My first thought was Essence Interactive, but essenceinteractive.com is taken (although essenceinteractive.net isn't).

But now I'm kinda thinking of "Essence Avatar"

What do you guys think of that name?

I prefer Essence Interactive. Don't know why, it just feels more... flowy to me.

And I realize that explanation makes zero sense. heh.

A business name instantly evokes something in the person who hears it -- either positive or negative imagery. You have to ask yourself what kind of connotations you want aligned with your business name ( ... )

I am trying to evoke pureness, and an ethereal feeling. This business/company is more about the type of work I want to produce rather than the type of result someone might get (like prestige interactive comes off as). This one is more for my consultant work and less for online pr work. I'll be receiving paychecks from large companies for the work that I do for them under this name, as opposed to creating a product for celebrities to gain something.

There's a fine difference in the companies.

I wanted it to be something about the beauty that I feel a good set of code is. the art that it takes to produce it.

avatar was using it as a manifestation of pureness. but yeah it did sound clunky.

Nope I'm working for Kristin still. But that project is on hold while kendra gets back on track after having baby marcus. I need a US based company to accept paychecks. I moved to NY to work on another project while I wait. :)

I'm always a big fan of one word titles/names. But if you have to go with more than one, "[something] Interactive" is how I'd vote. I definitely don't dig "essence avatar." It sounds like sperm samples for role playing games.

i think [something] interactive would compliment prestige nicely too.
