As a big fan of Short Circuit, I love Koderf Interactive. It's a very unique name and one that would get people talking and wondering.

However, will it be a good wondering? I've always thought that businesses with unique names are very hit-or-miss. Either the name is a big success or to confusing for the general public and they don't pay attention.

An advantage that Koderf has is that it doesn't have a definition. People won't be able to look it up and get an unwanted impression. You have almost free rain on what the word can mean. If someone asks, you can give your own definition, and if someone does get the Short Circuit reference it's a great thing to talk about.

Koderf is actually a new word to me, as I don't know what Short Circuit is. So as a part of the general public that doesn't know what koderf means, my first reaction was "koderf? hmm... wonder what that means, i'm interested." So it caught my attention and kept it.

I wonder though if this unknown word in the name of your company will also turn some people away, since they don't know the word and have no idea what the company is about. I see koderf and think it would make a really awesome screenname, but not so sure about a company name.

All IMO, of course. Hope I helped somewhat.
