That was such a great scene. I do love it when they go there.
As for the season so far?
*shrugs*
There were some very good episodes and some great moments this season. That said, the jarring lightswitches left my head spinning too much for me to really engage in the story this year. It might have been easier to follow if we didn't watch core traits of main characters change repeatedly without any buildup.
The Chloe/Davis dynamic has been my favorite element so far. The performances are so nuanced I could watch them all day.
I thought the season started out terrific, but it's been going downhill... kind of since Lana returned. Since the show is basically "Lois & Clark" now, I've been enjoying their flirtacious and sarcastic interactions a lot. The Doomsday stuff was an interesting direction to take the show in, but aside from some great Chloe moments (esp. when she was possessed by Brainiac), it's been rather disappointing. The whole Lex plotline is just awful. I do hope the show returns to good form soon.
As for the latest episode, it didn't work for me because I knew it would have to be reversed and none of it really mattered; it just felt like some bizarre dream sequence. And Clark has been making some dumb decisions lately.

Other than those nitpicks, I love it! :)
