makes sense though since its an open journal. *shrug* some people ...they're just hyper sensetive.

eh but a lot of people have them locked up, and the friends list is used to compile the friends page so they can easily read everyone's entries instead of having individual addresses to go to all the time.

i did it only because i have a psycho ex still trying to get me back 2 years after i left him. when it was open, he would leave nasty comments and criticise everything i posted. and would continually call me over and over agian asking about things i wrote and why i "didn't tell him this and that" were going on.

and i'd rather keep it friends only until he grows up and decides to vacate my life for good.

same thing with myspace. i had to do it there. and be careful about who i add because he keeps making new accounts everywhere and tries to get me to add him, but i'm not an idiot..
