Vampire Diaries season finale
WHAT JUST WENT DOWN HERE?
My general reactions in no particular order.
BONNIE IS A SUPER HERO NOW, WHAAAAT?
Okay, so I've always liked Bonnie. She's sweet and spunky, nice BFF material. But when she gave Damon a death stare and threatened him, she didn't seem so cool any more. Thanks for saving Damon and all, Bonnie, but please don't become a crazy bitch on us please.
ANNA IS DEAD?!!
I really liked Anna's character, but from the writers perspective I understand she didn't have much more room to grow. I mean, we have the vampire/human relationship thing going with Elena, wouldn't it be overkill to have both siblings dating vampires? It couldn't last for long. But Anna! I really liked her. She and Jeremy were good for each other. But really, VD writers, PLEASE STOP KILLING ANYONE JEREMY LOVES KTHANX.
An open letter to Stefan
Thanks for saving Damon, Stefan, and for being a pretty good guy. But really? You irritate me. You're too righteous and blah blah blah. I don't like you. I get that you're a good guy, but please go away. You bother me with your morals. You're just not as interesting as Damon. YOU LACK CONFLICT.
Damon/Elena
Okay, so Damon is adorable going after Elena. The little wave during the parade, and "that eye thing". He actually cares about her, judging by the way he talks to Jeremy about not blaming her for the whole Vicki incident and then "trying to do the right thing" by offering to erase his memory of Anna. And that scene on the doorstep when he thought that was Elena was really sweet. The whole "thank you for deciding I'm worth saving" bit was perfect, and the kiss on the cheek was really sweet. And the actual kiss that followed was really sweet.
TOO BAD IT WAS KATHERINE. WHAT THE HELL.
This actually made me angry. I thought Elena was actually being interesting and doing something unexpected. No, jk, it was Katherine. Poor Damon, the way he touches his mouth after the kiss all sentimental. He really likes Elena! Now Katherine is going to come back and mess shit up. She's been back for all of two minutes and she's already began the heartbreaking process on Damon, chopped off John Gilbert's fingers to steal his magic ring thingy, and proceeded to kill him.
An open letter to Katherine,
I get you have to be evil, okay? I get it. I get that you have to be a manipulative bitch and I admit you are more interesting than Elena on most levels. I liked you better in the past, tbh. Messing up Elena's life is not the way to go, hun. So here's the deal. I give you permission to be a bitch. Just please, dear, leave Damon/Elena alone. Go for Stefan. I here he'll be available soon if Damon has his way. That's a good idea. Take Stefan (Maybe Bonnie too) and just go somewhere else for a few hundred years. Thank you.
WEREWOLF TYLER
Tyler is actually a pretty good character. Man bitch jock with daddy issues turned werewolf. I'm interested to see how this unfolds. The warm and fuzzy part of my heart wants him and Jeremy to be best friends :D
VAMPIRE JEREMY WHAAAAT?
This is actually a good twist. I hope it's followed through, and he actually changes rather than surviving the pain killer overdose. This will be interesting to watch. I've always liked Jeremy.
