that was the single sweetest/saddest thing i've ever read in the entirety of my life. im crying more than i do when i read "where the red fern grows"
ever heard the song "streets of heaven" by sherri austin? download it or something. its fundamentally the same.. just maybe a year earlier. unless you despise country music of course.
where the red fern grows was the only piece of literature i enjoyed from my 8th grade year. have you ever had to suffer through the yearling? it was the worst thing i've ever read in my entire life. where the red fern grows made me tear up a little as well... at the end, my teacher made me write a eulogy for the dogs. it was the tackiest piece of cheese i've ever composed.
maybe im fortunate to say that ive never had to suffer through the yearling. mr perkins, in 4th grade, read us 'where the red fern grows' every day. he had a boogery mustache, and he pronounced breakfast as "braaakfest."
i then tackled it on my own in 5th grade, and i bawled as all the other normal kids ran around the room playing in their free time. i was the geek who chose to read. and cry.
i get made fun of a lot in classes because i am either reading a book or writing in a notebook at any given time. socializing is something i do when i don't have any literary material handy? geek? yes. but i enjoy it. in fact, i may even join the chess team next year. me and jim wilcoxson, check MATES!!! woohoo. i might be on crack.
Just in case.

I read this a night ago, that night I repeated it, giving due credit to you as sophie had no relation to me. Just in case anything was missed when you said it, rest assure I made sure mine got through. Be safe karlie, remember I'm always watching. (Not like that, perv.. ;) )
