and another thing i am soo fed up of meaningless chit chat, i want something interesting, i want to talk about art and politics and things that provoke my thinking and ideas, i want ot be inspired not by myself but by people around me, i want to learn something everytime i meet people and i want to be able to say it was worthwhile.

i too am bored to death by some of the inane conversations/idiotic people i've met here at uni, but that's just life. we can't expect to have extremely interesting and worthwhile conversations with everyone we meet, because let's face it - this is uni, and there are so many different types of people here. it takes time to find people who you really click with, and even when you do find those people it'll probably take a while before they or you feel totally comfortable talking about anything with any real depth to it - it just takes a bit of time, but you will meet the right people eventually

that's funny because here I find the opposite. My friends are all so different but were friends because the college is so small there isn't much choice, it's going out people and non going out people.
I think quite a few of them are a lot more intelligent than me and they can talk about politics that i have no idea about and philosophy which is far too confusing for me!
Then again we also talk about bum sex a lot

oddly there's this really loud guy in our halls who always talks about "ripping the back out of some hot bitch" etc...............but whenever he comes in our room me and him always end up having really deep philosophical talks about religion and reality, then 10 minutes later he will go back to asking my roommate how many guys back home shes shagged.

People are weird.
