Pretty please, if one of you beautiful folks could possibly run an errand for me on August 8, that would be fab. That errand is to go to the Anthology Film Archives or Other Music and purchase a predetermined number of tickets to see mother fucking Jandek on September 6th.

it can wait until a week from Tuesday! I can send money too. Not sure how many tickets yet, as it depends on if anybody else has a hard on for Jandek. They're just not selling any tickets online and shizzle.

WE WILL DEFINITELY HANG OUT AT THAT TIME and it will be bitchingly awesome.

ok send me money tomorrow so that it's here by monday. i can go on monday... or i can actually go the monday after if that's ok. so.

will i like jandek? should i be going to this show with you? it's good to have me around these days. i'm a good luck charm if you're needing anything.

the tickets are not on sale until a week after Tuesday, so we've got a little time. Also, they haven't announced the price yet. So basically I posted this to help myself not forget that it is happening, hahaha.

you can definitely come to the show with me, but I think you would probably not enjoy it. I think I will probably come up there for at least the Sunday before and stay for a couple of days...hopefully!

oh and truly madly deeply babe i look forward to you visiting around september 6th. can we like hang out for sure then? because the last time i saw y'alls i was in a liiiiitle bit of a weird way and now... totally not.

We had like 11 Jandek records at this radio station I worked at in 86, and I only recall that we played it as a joke because it was just bad music... like cartoon show bad.

I guess I just don't get it.

one of the jandek records in the station that I worked at had the hand written note: lifetime winner of the syd barrett veg-a-like award. vena's quote from wolk above is really pretty much the only time I've seen my feelings about jandek summed up in words. that's really pretty striking.

it must be noted that regular folks' mileage may vary. like, a lot.
