I was on amazon.de (the German amazon.com) two nights ago, purchasing some nifty CDs by some nifty german bands (go to my myspace if you want to hear one of the songs! I just put one up on my page, by a band called "Revolverheld").
Anyway. Of course, in order to save a few dollars, I bought these all second hand. And then, yesterday morning, I woke up to an interesting email, from one of the ladies who I'd purchased a CD from:
Alexandra-
Hello! Thank you so much for buying my CD! I'll be sure to ship it off in the next couple of days here. I hope you enjoy it!
Have a great one--
Alexandra
PS- Are you German?
Of course, I understood her curiosity, as she was sending german music over sees to a US address. I responded promptly, explaining that I'm actually just an american student, and that I absolutely adore the German language. And I swear, I no sooner sent that email off before I got a response! This other-Alexandra seems like an interesting character--Apparently, she's absolutley in love with english. She snags every opportunity to speak or write it, and so she also inquired as to if I would like to keep in touch. Of course I thought this was a fun idea, so I accepted without worry. And now she's all crazy-psyched-up, telling me what german magazines and books she's going to send with my CD! =P I've never had such an enthusiastic german pen pal.
So, what magazines or books should I expose her to, for some classic American reading? Hmm...
Oh yeah, and she's 32. A tax advisor--So I might avoid some of the teenage goodness.

Anywho, that's all that's really been going on with me. This Friday marks three months for myself and Antonio. =D Weee!! OH! And only 18 days until I go to Germany!! *psyches out*
Man, I swear--If no one comments on this, I'm probably just going to give up on livejournal all together.
Tootles! ;-D
