Not a bad Yuletide this year, especially compared with last year's debacle. Was even invited back into the family fold, after last year's deliberate Casting Out of the Woman Damned. Duck feeding sounds like an excellent nascent Christmas tradition. I kept up my new tradition by refusing to go on a walk and staying at the hotel and reading.

I'm glad this year's Christmas was a much better one. Hopefully the familial detente can continue.

I love the lights, but am also too cheap (and poor!) to even think about setting them up. Also I would need to get solar panels to justify it to myself at the very least. I agree though, definitely a community service, particularly with kids who are over-excited and still awake because it's still daylight!
