Clovember: OK, OK, some actual Corporate Casual

In the dim reaches of time, when all was abuzz on the Clovember front, I remember people expressing curiosity about my take on dress codes. More recently, glitzfrau had the temerity to express *disappointment* that I hadn't seized the Corporate Casual nettle and posted a photo of an outfit that actually fitted the bill. Thanks! Horizontal stripes get an unfairly bad rap, I say. I even read some serious article once which explained that it's actually *vertical* stripes that are widening, and I must say, that's my observation, too...

I love a horizontal stripe. I particularly like the pattern of these ones, with the varying thickness that also maintains a regularity.

I have to agree re the lack of work-appropriate clothing for warm to hot weather. My workplace is a pretty casual one, but we still have to dress appropriately (that rule can be broken if you're one of the unlucky few working the Monday before Cup Day, or if you're part of the skeleton crew who can't get extra time off after the Christmas/New Year break). I enjoy dressing up, so I tend to wear clothes a bit more formal than most, but the downside is that most of my hot weather clothes are dresses that require a heeled shoe. Obviously, a heel is my preference, but some days they're just too much effort. I can never seem to find something that's a bit more casual, but still OK for work, that I can wear flats with. :/
