Strange question

So I have this random question that I'm wondering if any of you can answer (and a possible follow-up question). Have any of you been on super high doses of prednisone (80mg) before? I was on 50mg for 2 day, a salmuterol shot in the hospita and 80mg for 5 days and now I'm dropping by 10mg a day to come off of it

I had a friend on high doses of steroids for Crohns. It made her bipolar. Literally. I don't know how you'll react, but I really hope it's not like that. She's off of it now, and a lot more even-keeled.

I've been on it for over a week now and am tapering off now. The super side-effects started a few days ago (which makes sense because that's when it started to help my breathing too). I guess it has been making me really positive and excited in the morning and ready to conquer everything and then about now as the shaking and dizziness get worse, I start the I can't deal with anything at all right now thing. I have had prednisone cause depression before but it's never been while I"m taking it it's usually months later when my immune system is building up again I think. I've also never been on this high of a dose before apparently it's what they give to a horse). I'm worried that I'm going to get the side effects and withdrawl at the same time and I have too much to get done to spend another week not doing stuff.
