"Hi Xander! How was work?"
I dropped my purse on the counter and wriggled out of my jacket and sweater and cast a glance over at the television,
"Oh, Lifetime. Are they showing the movie where the woman gets assaulted and has to raise children all on her own... Oh wait... that's all of their movies."
I grabbed the remote and shut the TV off

"Come here Ahn, let me go through this again. Snatching things away from people is wrong and on some levels, pretty damn rude," I said, then smiled, softening the blow.
Patting the seat next to me, I watched as she sat and turned to her. "Besides, not all Lifetime movies are like that," I countered.

"Whatever you say. All those movies seem pretty smarmy to me, and the only punishment that those terrible men get is a lifetime in jail..."

Smiling when she rested her head on my shoulder, my arm went around her and then I frowned when she asked about my day.
"Seem's apparently that uh, Dawn and Spike ... well, Spike has thing, but Dawn has a thing and it's this thing. Very confusing, but it is a thing and I put a stop to that." Unsuccessfully. Okay, so maybe they didn't have a thing, but Spike was leading that they did have a thing and ... wow, I'm confused now.
