Choking as I woke up I tried to breathe, clutching my hands to my neck I looked up wide eyed at...Angel. "Your here." My voice came out in a ragged whisper. The vision, those demons...blinking back tears I nodded. "Fine, pills are in that bag...you have to go." Stopping to try and swallow I hated the visions, hated the pain, hated my stupid ( Read more... )

"Yeah, I'm here," I said softly. She pointed to the bags, and I reached over, rummaging through the bag until I found the container of pills. I pulled it out, and handed it to Cordelia.

I stood up, then helped her onto the bed, helpign her to lay down.

"Are you going to be okay, Cordy?" I asked quietly. I would have to leave her here... at leats Fred was here to make sure she was okay. I would have to grab Fred before I left, so she knew where Cordy was, and didn't get lost trying to find her.

"I'll find the joggers, Cordelia... just relax."

Curling up on the bed I tried to relax. I would be fine, everything was going to be fine as soon as Angel went and killed a couple of demons. "I'm fine Angel." Biting out the words as I worked the cap off the bottle I downed a handful of pills not bothering to count. More was better anyway, right?

Swallowing I closed my eyes, willing the pills down, hoping they would just work fast. With my eyes close all I could see was those demons tearing out that poor man's throat. Choking I looked around, back in the bedroom with a worried looking Angel.

"Why aren't you going yet? Go, shoo, save someone."

I glanced at Cordelia, then nodded briefly.

"I'm going, I'm going..." I slipped out of the room, pausing before heading down the hell to where I had left Fred. I knocked on the door to the bathroom.

"Fred?" I called. Without waiting for an answer, I said through the door, "Cordelia had a vision... I have to go out. Um... can you just stay with her? Make sure she's okay."

I began to head away from the door, without waiting for an answer. The joggers in the park didn't have forever to wait, and I needed to get there as soon as possible. Meanwhile, Fred knew what to do; she was smart that way. Cordelia would be fine, I knew, but... I just didn't want her to have to be alone. She was hurting, and I wished there was a way I could help with that... but short of finding someone else to take the visions, I didn't think there was.

I'd finished using the restroom, but I heard Cordy and Angel fighting, so I tip-toed away from them and walked further into the mansion. It was really nice and I couldn't believe that no one was living here. Well, except for some of the rotten places and the whole abandoned and creepy feeling, it was nice. Over all I really liked it and it was very much a place Angel would pick to live. It was very high on the brood-scale ( ... )
