The night was dark and silent, bringing back plenty of memories for me... patrolling these streets with Buffy, spending time with her friends, defending the world from the Hellmouth ( Read more... )

I was just about to get off my bed to go look for the first aid kit when I noticed Angel was standing at door. There wasn't any wound that I could see but knowing Angel, He had some somewhere.

"We were just talking about you."

Getting off my bed, I smiled abit before walking to the door. "Any injuries I should know about before we go out?" Wow. my headache was gone and now i was hungry.

I grinned at Cordelia's smooth attempt to tell Angel we were going out. She didn't ask, she didn't suggest, she just...said so and he probably wouldn't have any other choice but to agree. I mean, we both knew how Cordelia got when she didn't get her way. She was sort of like this old dog my grandparents had on their farm back home. He would grab hold of a bone from the scrap pile and nothing in the world would get him to let go of it. My grandfather even tried to tempt him with a fresh T-bone to see what he'd do, but the dog just growled and stalked off to bury his bone. And that's what Cordy reminded me of, that dog. But I wouldn't tell her that...cause Cordy probably wouldn't like being compared to a dog ( ... )

"You were?" I asked, confused. I stepped slightly into the room, watching as Cordelia moved toward me.

"No, no injuries," I said quietly. Then, I glanced around the room, confused. Fred had decorated? Yeah... the bed was made and there were candles set out... I smiled at Fred, and nodded. "I like it... very cozy."

Then, something Cordelia had said hit me, and I blinked slightly. I looked at her, and asked, "Go out? Where?"

Where could she want to go in Sunnydale? And besides, she had just had a vision... was it safe? Well, as safe as you could get in Sunnydale. I didn't want her to go out if she wasn't feeling well. The only place I could think of her wanting to go would be the Bronze, but... I sighed, and ran a hand through my hair.

"Are you sure you're well enough to go out?" I asked, concerned. Usually after a vision, especially lately, she wasn't in very good shape for hours or even a day afterward... I didn't want her risking her health just to go out and have some fun.

"I'm fine." I said while walking passed Angel. "Yeah I had a headache but the pain killers took away the pain." Smiling, I moved down the hallway.

"Since Fred decided to make-over a room for me, I offered drinks and food. Then she suggested that we wait for you, So we did. Now you're here and thats mean we can get food!"

I placed my hands on my hips when I saw that he wasnt following. "I know you want to brood over a certain someones death but its both mine and Fred's duty to make sure you dont do that. We dont want another repeat of last year, now do we?"
