I felt this strange sensation. A feeling? Yes. I had a feeling and I knew exactly what it was. Finally, it's time! Time for ( Read more... )

Black.

So black, but I remembered. Yes, I recalled a time when it was all sorts of colours. Red and yellow and pure white innocence that twisted twirling dances with deep red lust. But no longer, no now like everything it was crumbling and ashen and riddled with death. Mmm, how intoxicating…

..and such a fitting place for me to wait out my turn. Oh they’d count and hunt but they wouldn’t find me. Not just yet.

So I floated through the ruins of the school determined not to waste anymore precious thoughts on Spike and his filthy little betrayal with that dark, honeyed viper. But oh! So many memories floated past me…floated through me…trailing their taloned little fingers along my flesh and making me burn and bleed red regret. My Spike had been here. When he was still himself and the Slayer was still bright and innocent and…

“Ooh,” I gasped. My eyes rolled back, seeking out the sweet quiet darkness of my insides as the waves from some new dark wickedness surged through me. Ooh it was surging, flowing ( ... )

“Come out, come out wherever you are, The Slayer.”

I stopped and looked at the...vampire in front of me.

"Yes...we'll say that." I laughed as I stepped sideways and started to slowly walk around her.

"I am the Slayer, aren't I?" She was strong, I could tell. She was extremely beautiful also! Angel's work no doubt.

"Yes, we'll say that. I am the Slayer, aren't I?"

I watched her closely as she played ring-o-ring-a-roses around me, and as I did, it came to me.

Not the Slayer.

Of course not, silly girl, sang the stars, cruelly. The Slayer's dead. You knew that. Tsk, tsk, tsk. But I ignored their spitefully mumblings, and focused all my attention on the little apparition that was still circling, circling, circling. Mmm, like a shark. Oh, how I did adore sharks. So many teeth! All the better to eat you with.

I giggled softly and kept watching it. Not a shark, no. But filled with power all the same. Ooh, it thrummed with it...dark and black and...old.

"No....not the slayer. Not at all. You're quite the opposite, aren't you, hmmm?"

I stopped dead in front of her and gave her a wink.

"You're a smart one, aren't you? What am I then?" I smile and wrinkle my nose as my eyes go deep into her own. She knew what I was, but was afraid to say it. All are.

"I think I'm here to help you. Drusilla correct?"
