I was recently commenting to a friend how ironic it is that in Canada there's an overhanging cloud of 'going the American route' in terms of health care and of course the cutbacks have been brutal. Then all of a sudden-like the American system takes a small cue from the Canadians. I wonder if I get to vaguely hope that this will mean they'll stop trying to get rid of universal health care here now?
