bitethelove, I bring forth translations from Duet's April 2008 issue!
So it's been a long time since I last posted anything! But that was cause I was busy taking care of my paper and my mom came to town and then I just got back from a weekend trip to Korea the other day. I'm back and now that I have no schoolwork to worry about (until the middle of April anyway), I can translate freely again! :)
I really enjoyed this article! I'm sure you will, too! :)
And the stuff in brackets are my little notes.

How much TV do you watch in a day?
I don’t watch it very much. About an hour at the most. Lately, it seems the CMs I’m in are playing often, but I don’t know about those matters.

Something you eat often as of late?
Soba as always. 2 or three times a week. If it’s before work I eat the kind from a convenience store, but if it’s after work, I have duck-flavored soba.
Which foot do you start with when you put on socks?
Maybe it’s the left. Because I’m a lefty.
What do you do when you first wake up in the morning?
I drink a glass of water.
Tell us about the atmosphere of your room!
It’s messy. But, I’m keeping exact tabs on where something is, and when I tidy up I’m at a loss (laugh). It’s a room where the walls are white with wood flooring.
What about the size of your bed?
Single?
Do you sleep well?
I think it’s good, but I’m told by the others that my snores and teeth grinding are annoying (laugh).
What kinds of things do you put beside your pillow?
My cellphone, two alarm clocks, and my mp3 player. One alarm clock is next to my pillow, and I have the other set on the floor. Subtly… I’ve set it so it’ll go off for about 10 minutes (laugh).
What do you wear to bed?
It’s winter now and I wear trainers or sweatpants
Bath? Or shower?
Bath. Because it’s cold for a shower on its own.

Head, body, face. For the body, I go in order from neck to hands to body to feet.

I do. Because I frequently meet with friends on the weekends and I have the live broadcast of “NEWS ZERO” every Monday.
Something you think is mysterious with the lives of the other members?

My computer. I exchange mail with the staff of “ZERO” and there’s music, pictures, video… all my data is on my computer. That’s why it’s necessary.

I think it’s a single? I don’t use it, though. Because I’m sleeping on the sofa usually. After work was over yesterday, I went drinking. With Kokubun Taichi-kun and Hina (Murakami Shingo). And so it seems I was sleeping on the sofa (laugh).

I went out for a bite with Kokubun Taichi-san and Hina. Because, Taichi-san just happened to be on the scene, and asked me what I was doing the next day. When I told him I’d probably have work, the next day I got a call at about 9:30pm asking if I was finished with work. It wasn’t over yet I tried calling after work and was told to come, and when I went to the store, Hina was there, too (laugh). I had just seen Hina’s stage play and so we talked about that the whole time. I had gone to the stage play with Captain (Ohno) and Aiba-chan. Because it seems Hina was also busy that day, we went home without saying our impressions. And, our impressions had been over one thing or another. We had completely abandoned “Kokubun Taichi” (laugh). Though that person also participated in the conversation as he saw fit (laugh). I was excited to meet with Hina and chat properly as it had been a while. As for the rest, I’m just playing games? It’s such days.
Sakurai Sho
I’m going snowboarding on the weekend. With close friends, about 10 people. I’m planning to stay at my friend’s house. All of us will go to the supermarket to buy things. Because I think we’re going to make nabe. Drink, slip, drink, slip… The crick in my neck has got to hurry and get better (laugh). I went snowboarding last year at the same time, and so this is the second year in a row, but the previous time I took a video camera and built up condensation and wouldn’t work, so I might not take it with me this time (laugh). In other news, I’ve been put in charge for the follow-up party of my friend’s wedding, and I’ve been thinking of everything for that. There’s not much time to prepare, it’s my first time in charge of a follow-up party, and I’m wondering if I’ll be in time. Besides that, I’m going to Beijing for a “NEWS ZERO” assignment. I went to Beijing 3 years ago, but it’s the first time for work. The streets have probably changed quite a lot in these three years, and it’d be nice if I can see a change. Until I go into filming for the movie (“Yatterman”), I’m being made to do lots of assignments, and I’ve been running around like a chicken with my head cut off.

We’re filming the movie (“Hana Yori Dango -F-). It’s a drama series and this makes the third one, and we’ve been making it enjoying each other’s company on set. Somehow, because I have the impression I’m doing it the whole time, it’s fun just being there. Because we don’t have to look for it mutually, it’s an atmosphere where we can tell jokes and stuff without concern. As one part of communication, right? Aside from technical things with just the fine equipment being different, because the world view of “HanaDan” hasn’t changed from the time of the drama, and I wonder if there is anything new to do. After this we’re on location overseas, and well, I’ll do my best. Even if you ask me about the latest happenings, it’s just work (laugh). Yeah, the new song “Step and Go” came out, and we’ve had several recordings for music programs. When we had the first shot, Aiba-kun and Sho-kun made considerable mistakes with the choreography. Nino even made mistakes for a change (laugh). This time, we’re learning from a new choreographer. I don’t know what those who’ve seen it would think, but as the one doing it, it’s fresh.
Aiba Masaki
I went and saw a stage play. “Untitled(1)”. Hina and Subaru’s views of the world were presented very well and it was interesting. Before it began, I went to the dressing room and told them to do their best and other things, but it had been a while since I could see them, it was interesting, and I was glad I went. Things are really easy to sea at Globe-za. Even I recently did a stage play (“Unforgettable Person”), but I didn’t see it from the audience (laugh). The seat I had might have been good, but I thought it was so easy to see from there. Besides that, you know, recently, I’ve been going to a yakiniku joint fairly frequently. I’ve liked yakiniku from before, but nowadays, at night when I think I’m hungry, I want yakiniku (laugh). Practically skipping out on the side dishes, I eat nothing but the meat (laugh). If I was to say which, I like the saltiness, I don’t have a favorite region in particular. Anything’s good if it’s with meat. As a proportion, it’s like meat, meat, meat, vegetables, meat, meat, meat (laugh).
Ohno Satoshi
Recently, you know, I’ve been doing various things, and nothing comes to mind (laugh). There’s the exhibition, stage play (“Amatsu Kaze”), fishing, and creation of the figures for the recruited designs for the exhibition… Yesterday, I had a long-awaited day off and when I thought I’d do my best to make the figures, I completely failed. I went to bed in a huff (laugh). I don’t think I had the ability to concentrate. I’m thinking over it….Though even if I say everything’s difficult, it’s all fun. Before I go into practicing for the stage play, I want to go fishing properly one more time. And, I’ll do my best with the practices, and when likewise when I welcome the actual performances, I think it’d be nice to be able to go fishing again. I only have two fishing rods. So I want 3 more (laugh). Really, there’s no limit... Besides that, you know, I want to improve my casting (surf-casting). Seriously, I’m bad at it. I don’t get enough practice (laugh). I think I’ll improve the more I do it. Though it’d be nice if they had facilities for fishing like they do just for golf. And, it turned into a talk completely about fishing (laugh).
