Desperate times lead to desperate measurements. There is a nationwide ammunition shortage in the USA. Regardless of the reason for it, we are doing what we can to continue practicing, which means, in my case, sorting a box of several hundred bullets to reload .223 Remington cartridges ( Read more... )

That's waaaaaay too much work. But I say that as someone who hasn't personally been in need of ammo because 1) we had quite a bit stored up before the madness started, and 2) the man scours the internets daily in search of decent (by today's standards) deals. He kinda has to because he needs a variety of calibers for all his rifles. Me, I'm a simple girl. As long as I've got 9mm, I'm happy.

One other topic to note, is that while certain ammunition and components have been hard to find, others have remained available. So while .22LR target ammo was virtually impossible to find, 35 Rem bullets were easy. Gotta have SOMETHING on hand ;-)
