The sausage and walnut stuffing is like half sausage. Bunny knows the owner of a really good butcher shop near her who ground some sausage special, with extra sage (important). I cooked the sausage until it just started to brown, cutting it up with a stick of butter (!). Then came the walnuts and the bread mix. It turned out so well.
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 2 cups powdered sugar 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin pie filling (pumpkin pie filling) 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/2-1 teaspoon ground ginger
Nilla Wafers
Directions
1 Beat cream cheese and sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until smooth. 2 Add pie filling, cinnamon, and ginger, beating well. 3 Cover and chill 8 hours. 4 Serve with Nilla Wafers and apple slices.

And, if you really want to talk about kicking it old-school, I used a big-ass spoon to mix up my mashed sweet potatoes!

The sausage walnut stuffing sounds nummy. I might add sausage to my apple walnut stuffing next time around and see what happens.
