I plan on posting this to Craigslist later, but for now...
I have a very, very sweet 4-year-old tabby cat who will need a home. I'm moving to an apartment in Seattle and he is very unhappy in enclosed spaces. He's an indoor/outdoor cat (please don't give me flac about this -- he is absolutely miserable when I force him to stay inside. He is of course up to date on his shots, and will be all up to date when he is received, and he is of course neutered.)
I want him to have a really good, loving home. He's a loyal and VERY VERY good cat. He never scratches furniture, dutifully uses the cat box, and is the most loving, sweet, cuddly cat I've ever met. He especially loves women. He gets along well with other cats and dogs, and ferrets too, though he will try to hunt anything smaller. (He's a poor hunter though; he once released a live wild rat into the house when we still lived in Arizona. Oh wait. That was like three times.)
He has made friends with most of the cats in the neighborhood, and befriended every neighbor. He's so cuddly that they think we neglect him because he's so starving for love. He would sooner spend every waking moment cuddled up to you than do any cattishly aloof things.
I'm moving out around December 20th, but I don't want him to leave yet. I'm hoping for someone who wants a good, VERY loyal cat in early December. Please, it must be a kind and loving home. He loooooves kids, and people, and...I'm just gushing at this point. :)
Feel free to respond to this post if you want to take him. Or maybe if you know someone who'd want him?
I'm loathe to give him to a shelter, as he is an adult cat, no matter how wonderful he is. Also, because I'm so attached to the little guy (I've had him since he was barely 8 weeks) I want to make absolute sure he will be well taken care of. Also, I'm looking at a $20 adoption fee, to show that you can pay for his food each month, and also to help ensure you're not some sicko who takes the free animals and kills them for fun. :( He will come with his litterbox, all the litter he has, and all the food he has, plus food and water dishes, his well-loved scratching post, and a hello kitty food mat if you'd like.
Thanks for indulging me, Tacoma!
