Take a look at your LJ friend list, then list up to ten things you want to say to ten different LJ friends. Do NOT state who these people are. DO NOT confirm nor deny any “comment speculation”.1. I hope you're okay

(edited to explain: It just gives me huge anxiety, then I feel like a douche for being anxious when none of them are probably about me. Narcissism much, me? Ugh. Sigh.)
You're not the first person to say that too me - I feel kinda bad (I do not like upsetting people!) but honestly none of them are anything I wouldn't say to peoples faces if I had a reason too, and I don't get how they are much different to those 'tell me how you feel about me anonymously!' memes.
Which I also love. And also I do not have much else to post about.
And I am going to quit defending myself and just say sorry and *hugs* and I promise I would never say something nasty about you.
My problem is the implied uncertainty of it- Everyone who reads it has to try on each of the described set of feelings and try figuring out if you could feel that way about them. Or at least, that's always my reaction to the meme. Then I get all caught up in feeling dumb for assuming that one of them could be about me, and really, I just need to get over myself.
The difference, for me, about putting your name into a hat and other people telling you anonymously what they think of you is that 1. you have to opt-in and 2. you know that they're talking about you. But like I said, I'm weird.
I didn't mean to make you feel like you needed to defend yourself! I just had to flail, because this meme is a total recurring font of angst for me, courtesy my bad brain. *hugs*
