"Rain"
Kurt/Artie;Artie's wheelchair really isn't a fan of the rain.

The rain that had rusted his chair was pouring down on him, making it hard to even see. His glasses were fogging up, and he couldn't dry them on his shirt, because it was wet too. To top off this wonderful situation, his phone was dead and he couldn't ask anyone to come help him. He knew he should have gotten a ride home from school. But he thought it would be nice to be alone in the rain for a while. He couldn't have been more wrong.
Artie figured he should just wait until someone came alone. He didn't see any point in tiring out his arms by trying to move any more. He tilted his head back, letting the rain snake down his face and drip back onto the ground. It was nice.
"Artie?"
The cold sensation was interrupted by a car pulling up to where Artie was trapped. Artie took off his glasses, squinting in an attempt to see who was in the car. The door opened, and a figure came around the front of the car to stand by him.
"Oh. Kurt. Hi." Artie said nervously, feeling so helpless. Kurt was almost a stranger to him, despite being in Glee together. They'd had somewhat of an alliance because of that, but never actually talked.
"Hi, um, why aren't you moving?" Kurt asked, subtly fixing his already perfect hair.
"My wheels are rusted." Artie said, jiggling the wheels one last time to prove it. Kurt cringed at the sound of the rusty metal shaking.
"Hey," Artie started. "Why are you leaving school so late?"
"Oh," Kurt's face flushed and he looked down at the sidewalk. "I was just, I was practicing a dance routine."
"But, we're not doing any dances in Glee right now."
"I know. I was- never mind." Kurt said simply, and quickly changed the subject. "Do you need a ride home?"
Artie nodded. "I'm really wet though."
Kurt chuckled. "I don't mind."
He walked around Artie to push his chair to the car, before remembering that it wouldn't move.
"It's not going to move, Kurt." Artie said, almost disappointed in himself because of that.
"I know. I forgot." Kurt told him. "I think I'll have to carry you to the car."
Artie was puzzled. Surely, he was too heavy. However, Kurt scooped him up in his arms with ease.
"You're- you're really strong, Kurt." Artie felt like he had to say it. Kurt sure didn't look like he was. Artie slung his arms around Kurt's neck for extra support.
Kurt just smiled, not moving an inch from where he stood. Artie was confused by that, but he didn't mind it. He kind of liked being held like that. He really liked it, actually. He leaned his head into Kurt's shoulder. Normally, he would try to avoid so much awkward contact, but it was getting dark and the rain felt nice and it was kind of… romantic. Artie was scared to say it, but he might just be starting to fall for Kurt. Of course, he would probably gain an obsessive admiration for anyone who would rescue him from the rain, but Kurt was probably going to ruin his hair and most likely expensive clothes by standing out in the rain with him. He didn't even have to.
"You're kind of cute," Kurt said quietly, his face turning the brightest shade of red. Artie almost didn't hear.
"W-what?" Artie stuttered, looking into Kurt's shining eyes.
"I, I said," Kurt cleared his throat. "I think you're kind of cute."
The corners of Artie's lips tugged up at the brightest smile. Kurt, noticing this, leaned down to kiss Artie on the cheek. Artie turned his head so that their lips met. Rain beaded on their hair, and dripped down both of their faces. Kurt ran his tongue along Artie's bottom lip, before breaking the unexpected kiss. "Let's get you home."
