This started out set in such a dark and strange future, that I never expected it to turn into something so sweet. There is never enough happiness for these two, and I'm so glad that you gave them some. And despite the last paragraph, it still weirdly feels like they got their happy ending just by having this perfect year together.
I really love that there is hardly any huge drama, that both Castiel and Balthazar just feel so comfortable around each other, that they understand each other, and that their relationship just develops so naturally, that it is difficult to tell how it even happened. It is so perfectly them. The marriage proposal, in that situation and in being so private and quiet, was just perfect.
My favourite part is your description of the guests and their relationships at the wedding. I particularly love the one about Gabriel, and of course Castiel and Balthazar themselves.
