LOL, I laughed at your choice of words. Especially, "inferior landlady backpack". Perhaps, use the one she gave you for like a week, and then use the one you found. When she asks, just tell her it broke, or you spilled something on it.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to use the "inferior landlady backpack" (lol) for probably about a month, then I'll come up with some excuse to switch. I see my landlady a lot in the mornings in the parking lot on my way to work, with my backpack on, so I need to put up a temporary front. It was really nice of her to give it to me so I want to make some use out of it and have her see me wearing it. I actually just took it for a "test run" to the grocery store and it's not too bad. It just isn't as big and doesn't have as many little compartments as the one I found. Anyway, nice to meet you and thanks for stopping by :=)
