My mother left me 8 increasingly angry phone messages over the course of the week to return her debit card to her. I needed to use it to register for classes at college and stuff. I moved out over 20 years ago, moved twice this year, without giving anyone in my family the forwarding information for the first move, let alone the second. But wouldn't you know it, last night I got a call from my mother (the one who doped me up on anti-psychotics so I'd stop complaining about the sexual abuse from her (now ex, but at the time current) husband) guilting me for not being more chummy with the whole family.
Gee mom. I left to get away from you. When 500 miles wasn't far enough, I moved to the other end of the country. Did it ever occur to you that you didn't have my address or phone number for a reason?
*sigh*
