Preparing for Portland

Mar 18, 2011 07:42

[Date: Wednesday Late Afternoon]

*Prowl stalks to the front of the Ark, going over what he already knew as well as all the continuing reports coming out of Portland.*

*Opening a general Comm back to the Decepticons.*

We read you and understand, Onslaught. Have your troops stand down and move away from the city. We're bringing Ravage there for an ( Read more... )

*Returns the Comm out loud, ensuring that the humans can hear.*

I think not, Prowl. We both know that if I have my troops fall back, you and your army will come and attempt to capture me while I'm outnumbered. I will not fall for your trickery. You will bring Ravage to us, in one piece and unharmed, and I will let this city go. You have my word that I will not harm this city if you do exactly as I say.

We are not Decepticons, Onslaught. And we both know that I can't trust the word of a Decepticon. There is always an angle. ... But we will be en route shortly.

Shortly wasn't offered as an option. Tick tock, Prowl. I'd hate for you to have to explain why you let this lovely city die.

What have we got? I don't think I've got anything usuable Prowl. Aside from some old parts bins.

... Damn it ... Understood, Ratchet. What about sedating him? I don't want him trying to rip up whoever ends up transporting him, and I don't trust him enough to let him make his own way to Portland.

We can sedate him, that's not a problem. *he couldn't help but be amused at Prowl's concern, because he knew it would be him that ended up transporting Ravage*

The only problem will be the Combaticons reaction when they see a sedated Ravage.

Ultra Magnus and I will worry about Onslaught and his reactions. He tells me that you've released him for duty, so he will be taking point in the field.

*On an open channel that he hopes will reach all the Autobots.* Your time is running short, Prowl, and your delaying strategies are killing humans as we speak. That's an awful lot of their blood on your hands.

We are en route, Onslaught. You must remember that unlike you, we cannot fly.

We both know you have flyers, Prowl. Load Ravage up in that Concorde of your and send the sparkling over to make the exchange. After all, he and I go way back, don't we? Or maybe you can send the helicopter. Or the pretend one. Either way, time waits for no mech, and neither does Brawl.

If we were to load Ravage onto a jet and he started to attack him, they would both go down and be destroyed. We're trying to find the safest way to transport him so we all make it there in one piece. But you threatening the humans is getting no one any closer to this exchange, Onslaught. So keep your mechs under control and we'll do this as quickly and painlessly as possible for both sides.

*Magnus butted in with a frown. He didn't appreciate the slagger baiting Prowl like he was doing and Ultra Magnus definitely had zero patience for such blatantly combative statements.*

Thank you, sir. *And boy was he pleased to be dropped right into this clusterfuck.*

*Ultra Magnus turned his attention onto the wayward jet and the SUV he was trying to 'protect'.*

You two are going to be a pain in my aft, I can tell already. *Ultra Magnus shook his head in disgust.*

He's not well enough to go into battle and if you try and force him, I'll take my complaint all the way to Prime if I have to.

*Silverbolt's jaw bunched in a mulish expression.*

Sorry, sir. But the fact is, I won't be of use out there. If you order it, I'll go, but I need you to know my concerns. ... sorry ...

Definitely a pain in my aft. *Ultra Magnus pinched the bridge of his nose and tried to find some inner peace.*

Fine, if you don't think you're fit for battle, it's obvious you shouldn't be out of medical. You're to report to med-bay and stay there until such a time as the medics feel fit to release you for duty.

*Pins Silverbolt with a cool look.* You however are not injured and I expect you and your team at the staging point ASAP.
