well, it's really a lot easier for most people to use "we" logic on issues like this. and most people are removed enough to feel like they are involved without actually physically taking part in what is happening; we are taught to feel like it is enough simply to be considered part of the "we" that is other people commiting these acts. I prefer to go with my own personal gut feeling. if I ask myself, would I ever do that to someone, and I can't think of a circumstance, or even if I can.....well, then there is my answer. that is why I myself don't work at Guantanimo. still, a really tough question, huh? war is so complicated to me, I don't know how other people are able to make it so black-and-white for themselves.
