I just can't get enough of this. They are all so adorable.

I did do the caterpillar project. But, my class never had the chance to watch them turn into butterflies. The project was stopped due to a boy eating one of the caterpillars. True story.

I did the catepillar/butterfly thing, we just had one for the whole class though, not for each student. Then we realeased it in the school playground.

I don't think we ever did the butterfly/caterpillar thing in school, but I've done it at home for years -we still do. Because there are these butterflies that lay their eggs in a certain plant we have a lot of, and the caterpillar are SO fucking cute (they're not hairy or anything, you can touch them)and the birds eat them so keep some until their butterflies to make sure not all of them are eaten.

Buterfly project is when in kindergarten or like 1/2 grade they give you a caterpillar in a jar. And you see it grow up into a butterfly and then you set it free.

Some schools grew a little plant instead of butterflies.

dude thats bad ass. I wish coulda hatched ducklings....all we did was have a baby octopus be brought in for display. I think it was dead. I couldn't tell. Everybody was all touching it and stuff, I was in the very back like, staring at it in fascination.
