OK! So, I took a survey off sombodies website and answered all the questions msyelf, it's everything you need to know about my "furriness" Take a look if you want, but keep in mind, it;s long.
It is afterall, Survey:
1. What is your name? People jsut call me Dingo.
2. Are you male or female? Male.
6. Where do you live? [region or city/state] Utah (USA)
7. What are your interests/hobbies? I like alot of things. I like to keep active and non competative sports are very appealing to me, wether it's rock climbing, hiking, fishing, archery, cave exploration or mountaineering in general. I also own a fursuit wich I enjoy running around in on occasion, it's nothing big to me, I hardly get to do it but it's still very fun.
8. What talents do you have? I honestly don't have alot of talent, I dabble in a great many things, but many people do, I'd say my wit can be pretty sharp, though. I'm fast thinking on my feet and have a good sense of humor. Other than those two things though, I'm a general jack of trades.
9. How would you describe your personality? I'd describe my personality as kind and fun loving but a bit callous. If I don't want to, I can feel no emotion for sombody, I can lose all sympathy and look like a very bad person, this side is only shown to certain people though and those people are very far and few between. I like to joke around alot and I love being with other people.
10. Is your living space (e.g. room/house/apartment/etc) furry-themed? Not really, I mean, I have a few things here and there, decorations and the sort, but not a whole lot more than seems normal. If a normal person walked into my room, they wouldn't think much of it.
11. What kind of music do you like? I like alot of music, classic rock, teachno/trance, alot of upbeat and positive music. I used to like almost anything heavy, but music definately affects my mood and being angry is dumb.
12. What do you do to relax/wind down? I go on walks and watch movies to wind down, movie watching is one of my biggest hobbies. If you know a good movie...tell me what it is! I might have already seen it though. *cough*
13. Do you draw/write/make furry things? Not really, no. Doing so doesn't really intrest me but the thought of making money does...if I could think of somthing good, I'd do it.
14. Do you have a website or is your work posted anywhere? No website. I'd make one, but I don't know how.
Being Furry:
15. What is/are your species? A dingo! and so everyone is clear, plural is spelled "dingoes" not "dingos" I don't want any flak about it, got it? good.
16. Describe yourself (e.g. height, weight, build, color, markings, scars/tattoos/etc., clothing preferences, etc.) My character is pretty much me with fur, claws and an oddly shaped skull. 5'10, 135 pounds. Fairly slim and not a great deal of muscle, but enough to hold my own. He usually wears just a pair of pants to keep modest, no scars, tattoos or piercings, thats far too much to keep up with...best just to relax.
17. How does furriness influence your lifestyle, personality, emotions, or thoughts? It has effected my lifestyle to a point, I'd b very different if I never came in contact with the community, but I don't let it take hold. I belive different things than non-furs, but different than alot of furs as well. I funtion well around non-furs and have a tight knit group of friends I love to death, none but me would be a furry.
18/19. Was your furriness evident from a young age?/How, and when, did you realize your furriness?. I guess it might of been, I can think of a few instances here and there but nothing to big. I'd say it started when I found the community at 13 years old, 1999. I was at a volenteer activity and I got a nametag that read "Hello! My name is _____" So, just to be funny, I put in the name "Dingo" It stuck and alot of people were calling me that for the next couple weeks, then, very shortly after, we got the internet. I didn't know what to do once I logged on, so I was looking for pictures of dingoes and eventually stumbled on the community. I lurked and it was awhile before I developed a character, but I'm pretty well set in now days, It's been 7 years.
20. How much control do you have over your furriness? Does it have negative side effects, has it ever manifested itself involuntarily? I have complete control over it, I've never had a problem with it, despite making no efforts to hold it back. I'm a casual person and people tend to like me, even if I bring up somthing radical, I do it in a casual way, allowing people to understand a little better.
21. What do you like most/least about being furry now? I like all the friends I've made and I hate the word. "furry" has collected so much dirt and grime, it's annoying to call yourself one on occasion. I most definately AM one, but meh. Plus, I don't like being "fuzzy" "furry" "soft" or "cuddly" I'm scary...right? right? ;_;
22. Do you think that your body resembles, in any way, an animal (e.g. hirsute, foot shape)? If you look hard enough, I think it most resembles a human though.
23. Do you think that your personality resembles that of any animal/furry? I definately think so, theres a wide variety of behavior for all animals, humans as well so mine can be matched up to many of them. I havn't thought about it hard enough to list wich ones exactly, but many hav animalistic behavior.
25. Are you ashamed/proud of being furry? For the most part I'm proud of being myself and if I am a furry, then I'm proud of that, I'm not proud of of the things the word represents sometimes though.
26. Have you ever worried about your 'furriness'? The above answer pretty much answers that.
27. Did you ever think you were childish/weird/confused? I guess I can be just as childish as most people. Nobody ever really gets old, heheh.
28. Have you ever had a (non-sexual) furry dream? One or two, they are very rare.
29. Do you have (non-sexual) furry fantasies? Somtimes "Yeah...it's fun to pretend"
30. How do you enjoy/express your furriness (e.g. being around other furries, being in the great outdoors)? I love going to conventions, for one, tons of fun to be had, depending who your with.
Being "Truly" Furry:
37. Would you become an animal/furry (assuming you could NOT change back), given the chance? I think I would...and I'd make myself visible to the public as fast as possible, before government people had the chance to chop me up! Then I'd be famous.
38. Would you worry about being shunned by society/friends/family if you became 'truly' furry? Possibly, life is full of making and losing friends. I'd still do it, it would be coo.
Other People:
41. How do you act furry in public/in private/with friends (furry and non-furry friends)? I refrain from some things in public, I think everyone should, weather it be furry stuff, gay stuff, straight stuff, anything. Public rules are different. For the most part though, I act the same around people, I'm still me.
42. Do you worry about people knowing about your furriness? I worry about people looking to other sorces about it before they look to me.
43. Are there people (non-furries) who are tolerant of your furry lifestyle? If so, how do they support you? Sure, my friends know I goto con, they've seen my suit, they don't really care, it's all good.
45. Is/Are your Significant Other(s) furry? [i.e. boyfriend/girlfriend/partner.] I don't have one.
Furry Media:
46. Who are your favorite furry characters (e.g. Mickey Mouse, Chester Ringtail, Amy Squirrel, Sonic, etc.)? Idunno...actually, I don't really like them, famous characters are un-appealing to me unless they kick alot of ass. Starfox is kinnda cool in that sense?
47. What type of furry artwork do you enjoy viewing/collecting (romantic, manga, goth, cyber/sci-fi, cutesy/toony, photomorphs/realistic, mythological, action, humorous, etc.)? I don't much collect artwork, but I collect pictures of my own character, thats pretty fun.
48. What type of furry literature do you enjoy reading (romantic, adventure, cyber/sci-fi, humorous/parody, etc.)? I havn't read any furry literature. Lately I havn't been reading much at all, burned myself out by reading too many books too fast.
49. What are your favorite furry films/cartoons? Hmmm....I can't say I have any at this point in time, but maybe soon.
52. What are your favorite furry comic strips? none! I burned myself out on them, kinnda like the book thing.
53. What types of furry media do you create? (art, stories, music, etc.) I don't create any...wait! Heres a story "One day there was a furry, he lived in furville, he went out and got his male then cursed at all the bills, he went inside, drank his coffee and went to work at a desk, he hated his job. The End."
54. Who are your favorite furry artists? I like any skilled art, I guess. I don't like listing names because my preference of art changes so much, usually in circles.
Plushies:
57. What types of plushies do you own (species, size, color, etc. If you have a menagerie of plushies, then you don't need to list them ALL.)? I have a dingo, kangaroo and tiger, they're all very small. Generally, I don't like to get them, I don't cuddle up with them, they jsut sit there. The ones I have were all given to me as gifts. I like them all because of the people who gave them to me, if I bought one myself, I'd think it was dumb.

59. What attributes do you look for when buying a plushie? N/A
60. Describe your ideal plushie. made of paper, mostly green, has "100" in the corner.
Fursuits & Accessories:
61. What type of fursuits do you own? (species, size, design, etc.)? I own one full suit of a dingo. It was built by scribblefox, custom so of course, the general design of the character belongs to me.
64. Describe your favorite/ideal "furry" appearance. (e.g. wearing animal-themed clothes, fursuits, tail, collars, etc.) Hm, well, I generally wear whats on sale or what I find comfortable. None of it is really furry, mostly quicksilver and the sort. I don't like wearing a tail simply because it isn't my style.
Religion/Spirituality:
65. Have you ever communicated with an animal spirit (e.g. animal guardian, the spirit of a living animal, the spirit of a deceased pet, etc.)? I don't belive in animal guardians, totems, etc.
67. Do you believe you have an animal soul? No, I don't. If I belived in a soul, I'd have a human soul >.> and so would every other human, every other furry.

70. How did you discover the furry community? I already said, but here it is again: I was at a volenteer activity and I got a nametag that read "Hello! My name is _____" So, just to be funny, I put in the name "Dingo" It stuck and alot of people were calling me that for the next couple weeks, then, very shortly after, we got the internet. I didn't know what to do once I logged on, so I was looking for pictures of dingoes and eventually stumbled on the community.
71. Are you glad that you discovered the furry community? Yeah, I've made so many wonderful friends within the community, I wouldn't give that up or ever regret it.
72. How have you benefited from the furry community? Idunno. I'd have to see how my life would be at this point if I never found it, thats hard to do.
73. Have you met any furries in real life? Hundreds, cons are like that.
74. Do you go to furry gatherings? (e.g. confurences, informal gatherings) If not, do you want to? I do, about 2 a year, I'd like to hit a few more on occasion, I like being with my friends I hardly see.
Animals:
75. Do you own any pets, or have access to animals (at stables, etc.)? I used to have a few, but we got rid of them. very sad ;_; I grew up around many pets.
76. Do you work/have you ever worked/do you want to work with animals/furries? I've never worked with animals before, no.
77. Do you bond easily with animals? I think so, yeah. I don't think it's a special ability at all, of course. I just like them.
78. Are you concerned about animals and the environment? Meh, in some situations, yes. In others, I think people worry to much. I support hunting, I'd like to try it someday.
80. Are you interested in real animals as well as furries? Sure, I love animals. Some are ugly though, like primates.
81. Do you have a greater-than-average knowledge of your character's species? Yes! I like reading about animals sometimes, dingoes are usually targeted first.
82. Do you ever get annoyed about how animals (in particular, your totem animal) are portrayed in fables/mythology? No. I think it's stupid to get so worked up about it, relax! especially if your a dragon. dragons were created in myth, those fables and mithology are more correct than your sketchbook and fantasies. Have you ever seen a dragon? lived with it, studdied it's life? NO!
83. Have you ever/do you enjoy watching animals in the wild (e.g. on safari, in your backyard)? Not much in my back yard, but animal planet kicks mucho ass.
85. Have you ever communicated with an animal via telepathy/empathy? No, I don't belive in telepathy or empathy. I belive that one can develop an understanding of facial features, mannerisms, etc and rect accordingly.
