I knew it. I knew that lady that took my phone application was incompetent.
1. They're only listing my Nanosolar job. I SPECIFICALLY said that I was filing a joint Ca-Co claim, and don't tell me that a frigging NATIONAL LABORATORY, for the DEPT OF ENERGY isn't on the list for unemployment. This means that only three months of work are counted, and the end result of this is that my overall benefits get cut in half.
2. During my phone interview, I said the company let me go because my particular skill set was not required by them at the time. What does incompetent moron lady write down? "I was let go due to my skill is not met the company's expectation."
WTF?? That is so not what I said. No wonder she scheduled me for an interview; she put down that my skills weren't good enough/up to par for what the company expected of me and by implication, that I was let go/fired because of not doing a good job.
And yes, those aren't typos, that is word for word. It was obvious at the time that English wasn't her first language. Now, normally, I am very sympathetic to people who haven't completely mastered English. I admire them for persevering to learn and work using such a difficult language. However, when someone takes a job requiring decent conversational English skills where NOT having said skills will royally screw things up for the other person... that's just not fair.
So now I call them back, tell them that NO, the information is NOT correct, and hope that I can get it straightened out in the next week and that my application isn't permanently screwed.
