hello and g. soul's
love me again.
Jungkook doesn’t want to say it out loud or maybe to show the fact that he misses home so much. He just misses everything in Busan and all about it.
The sky in Seoul looks a lot different than the one in Busan, it just doesn’t really looks that real dark, not like the usual pitch black because the nonstop blinding city lights have always well-lit the whole sight under it.
Someway, the stars are just too weak, too little to be seen over the obscure firmament - in which he really missed the view of the starry nights in Busan, the stars seem eternally glittering in innumerable days of young Jungkook being there.
But most of all, he missed the sound of sea waves hitting delicately over the shore of the coastline where he would run childishly away from being wet, avoiding the cold salty water and that’s how he creates his memories, the sweetest ones from there, mostly.
But that was way before when he’s just a young country boy with big wild dreams of living in the city, maybe a little regret filling inside him when he moved in a new life in Seoul. It wasn’t that fascinating like he imagined when he’s a kid.
And by that unexpected hard time, he met Kim Yerim, the city girl who has lives in Seoul all over her life.
She’s lovely, like how Jungkook would describe as something like a blooming young lilac in Busan’s early springtime and she has always reminded him of something curiously wonderful when their eyes met, filled with looming and young excitements.
She smells freshly tantalising, like the sea-washed coast when the twilight strikes over the horizon that Jungkook would always love, back in his hometown. She is everything that Jungkook would say as perfect, as in the way how his heart beats in an overly accurate beep every time he’s with her.
“Hey, what did you do to the sky? There’s not a single star tonight.”
Yerim stops swinging her feet upon hearing his sudden remark, looking at Jungkook with her forehead tilts and he just doesn’t understand how she can look so lovely even with a severely confused look.
The wind mildly blowing chilly breeze at them, but they just can’t feel the coldness bothering them when hot chocolates in their hands and Jungkook just needs her company to make himself warm. Everything is perfectly fine when she’s here.
“What did I do? So, you’d think that I stole the stars?"
Yerim holds the urge to not roll her eyes, and without warning; Jungkook leans closer, just leaving a few inches of spaces between them. His hand slowly reaches over her hair, caresses strands of her dark golden locks adoringly and he got her off-guard completely, stunned when he searched her round eyes. She looks so much cuter when she’s flabbergasted with his abrupt acts.
“Yes, you stole them and put them in your eyes.”
Jungkook swears that her cheeks start to bloom with red tinges when he whispered out loud to her ears and he smirks lightly of victory for making her flushed with his smooth act, “and now, you need to be punished for making me fall deeply in love with you.”
For a second, he leans again, directly to her lips without missing the sight of her surprised look and his confined mind starts having shockwave inside, with the taste of undefined sweetness and intoxicated juvenileness of her lips. The slight hint of caramel makes it more than perfect and by the time he leans away to look her in the eyes, she’s thunderstruck for a moment before looking away from him.
The red shades of blushing seem to be stubborn, staying there perfectly on her cheeks. She then gazes at his eyes with pure bliss, where Jungkook could see gazillions of everlasting shining stars twirling inside her eyes in a very enthralling sight to his amusement.
He sees his whole universe inside her.
"I love you too, Jungkook."
Her eyes always like a tenderness of inevitable sparks, just like constellations in Busan sky every time when she looks at him. They crinkled so perfect in a way that could make him speechless, and in another way that he feels young again because loving her again and again is something so precious - being with her reminds him of his beautiful moment as a young boy when he’s in Busan.
She makes him believe that Seoul is their Neverland.
For once, Jungkook likes it more than he would think when he lives in the capital urban of countless materialistic nightmares and anonymous dusk of dying constellations. That’s because Kim Yerim is like his second home now, or something called serendipity to Jeon Jungkook, after all.
