In an unexpected twist to my life... my mother was visiting in Nassau and ended up in hospital with what appeared to be a stroke.  It wasn't.  She's been a heavy smoker for 54 years, and it finally caught up with her.  Once the stroke-like symptoms were treated, she had to return to Canada for the rest of the treatment, bringing me with her.  We're ( Read more... )

My dog sitting days are far from over, but just to add some spice to the experience, the last place I 'dog' sat had not only dogs, but also chickens and raccoons. Somehow 'Adventures in Raccoon Sitting' doesn't have the same ring! The raccoons weren't the problem.
